The Chair Green Project
I had the honor of collaborating on this vignette to benefit The Green Chair Project Chairity. This incredible non-profit organization accepts donated home furnishings and provides it to Wake County children & families. The Chairity Event unites community & creatives for fundraising for The Green Chair Project.
I wanted this to feel very welcoming and southern, and nothing is more classically southern than blue & white. We had this donated beautiful rattan set but the cushions were so old and tired. Revolution donated this beautiful outdoor fabric and Philip at Seatpro did an amazing job reupholstering them. The playful pillows were donated by Spoonflower.
A large portion of this design utilized donated items, this added a little bit of a challenge to create a dazzling display with only the pieces available to us. I really enjoyed coming up with creative solutions on a budget like our basket lights, which were simply baskets we hung upside down.
I am grateful for the opportunity to create this display to raise money for such a wonderful cause. The Green Chair Project accepts donations from the community so if you have gently used home furnishings I hope you will consider them for your donations.
