Target Home Decor
Brian and I moved to our new house in mid-December. In January we went on a Marie Kondo kick and discarded lots of stuff we didn’t want anymore. We are in the process of refurnishing our living room, while we are still on the hunt for some of the larger pieces I’ve enjoyed picking up some of the smaller decor pieces from Target. I love the Opalhouse line and Hearth & Hand with Magnolia for high quality and affordable pieces.
Our home is a ranch style house built in the late 60’s I believe, so I love incorporating mid-century modern aspects of design while still keeping a neutral color pallet. We don’t really have an entryway space but we did have a bare wall next to the door and I wanted to create an area to put our keys ect. when we get home. I absolutely love the console table the bamboo accents perfectly provide a subtle Mid-century vibe and I was obsessed with this mirror from the moment I laid eyes on it!
Our home has very minimal overhead lighting so a floor lamp was a must for our space. A couple weeks ago I picked up fresh eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s and I liked the look so much I bought faux eucalyptus. These candles can supposedly burn for 45 hours and the scents are fresh and not too fake-perfumey.
I don’t know what it is but I’m a sucker for a pretty tray, anyone else? The linen blue & white tray gives some needed texture to our coffee table. Brian picked out these marble coasters and I think they are terrific!
Window treatments can add such a statement to a room for our windows I wanted to keep it simple to allow for the most amount of light to filter in, I’m all about that natural light. I love the marble motif of the curtain rod and the sweet little tassels on the gauzy curtains . Just a side-note about the curtains, they are very sheer and do not block light.
I absolutely love home decor, my mom and grandma both instilled a passion for vintage furniture and classical architecture. I hope to one day follow in their footsteps and own a historic home! As I mentioned we are sill furnishing the rest of our living room and if you have any sectional couch suggestions leave them in the comments below!
