Simple 5 Minute Makeup

On the weekends I always try to give my skin a break from the full face of makeup I typically wear. Most of the time if you catch me doing our weekly Trader Joe’s trip you will find me sans makeup. It’s really important to give your pores the freedom to self detox.

Going bare-faced a few days a week isn’t only healthy for your skin I also believe it’s important for your mindset. If you only feel like you can’t leave the house if you don’t have makeup on I think that can be harmful perception. You are enough just as you are. You do not need makeup to look or feel pretty and I think it’s very powerful to remember that.

With that being said some days I want to wear minimal makeup but still feel put together so here is a little 5 minute face routine I’m currently using and loving. The key to a fast makeup look is using products that are multi-purpose.

My skin has been extremely dry lately so I’ve been starting off with just a couple drops of Smashbox Primer Oil, it’s a great product for dry or mature skin, it gives even matte foundations a dewy finish. After my skin is prepped I use the Au Naturale Zero Gravity Creme to Powder Foundation and blend it with my favorite makeup sponge. I use this under my eyes to conceal any discoloration too, plus with a light weight powder finish you can skip setting powder!

For a no-makeup flush look I mix shades Rosy Nude and Bronze from the Sephora Blush Palette and my favorite Rose Quartz Luminizer to highlight my cheeks, cupids bow, and corner of my eyes. This combo gives you a subtle radiant glow.

I have had my eyebrows microbladed by the amazing Jeanette of Ivey Artistry so my eyebrows have a great shape and don’t require a ton of attention. I simply sweep on a little Glossier Boy Brow and I’m good to go!

To finish this 5 minute makeup look I curl my lashes and swipe on a couple coats of my favorite Better Than Sex mascara and my go to daily lip Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in color Petal or Rose. These products will give you a fresh-faced look in 5 minutes so your not wasting daylight!

I hope you guys have an awesome week, I’m working on a Target Home Decor finds for you guys so be on the lookout for those posts coming soon!
